Teach YES

The Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) is an opportunity for students to unleash their inner entrepreneur and experience the start-up world first-hand. It is an experiential programme where students set up and run a real business. Each YES company creates their own product or service and brings this to market.

  • Year 12-13
  • 4 Terms
  • Level 1 - 3 Business Studies
  • $55 (incl GST) per student
  • Teacher training available
Student Learning

Through YES, students will...

  • Learn about business planning and operations
  • Develop a range of personal and business skills
  • Consult with and create networks in their community
Programme Structure

There are four YES challenges that each company needs to complete.

  • Challenge 1 – Validation
  • Challenge 2 – The Pitch
  • Challenge 3 – Promotion & Sales
  • Challenge 4 – Annual Review

The Young Enterprise Scheme has had a huge impact on the students at Aparima College.
This is our third year of running the scheme, and we have junior students eager to participate in future years.
I would recommend the Young Enterprise Scheme to schools of all sizes and deciles.
